Mayor Lucas to Introduce his Most Recent Gun Ordinance at Domestic Violence Shelter

Kansas City, Mo, October 23, 2019 – The media is invited to a press conference on Wednesday, October 30th, 9:00AM  at Rose Brooks Center. Mayor Quinton Lucas will announce a new gun ordinance that will be introduced later the same day. The ordinance aims to keep guns out of the hands of individuals convicted of the crime of domestic violence.

At the Press Conference, also hear from Rose Brooks Center’s Blueprint for Safety Coordinator, Annie Struby and Board President, Phil Greenfield. Nearly half of the individuals who seek help from Rose Brooks Center are impacted by gun violence.
