  • Lisa Schmitz

“Domestic Lisa Schmitz Interior Design has teamed up with Design for a Difference and Rose Brooks Center, a domestic violence shelter in Kansas City to remodel the common living spaces. People are deeply affected by their environments. After touring Rose Brooks Center, meeting the women, children, and even pets escaping violence, we knew this was a story we wanted to help write! We wish to design spaces of healing and peace for the women and children escaping violent situation. The newly remodeled common areas will serve as a welcome place to nurture and foster ambitions.

Our goal of raising $150,000 will provide four fully remodeled, cozy, and healing common living room for the women and children living at Rose Brooks Center

  • Sprots Takes

“Domestic In 2014, SprotsTakes was created with the mission of empowering women that love sports to write about them in a fun and supportive environment. By 2015, we are sponsored by some of our favorite companies and we are very involved with giving back to the Kansas City community.

Our broadcast on 9/28 will be 24 hours long and will be to raise money for Rose Brooks by talking to our writers and broadcasting the Monday Night Football game. More importantly we will be letting people know the upcoming month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and how they can donate to Rose Brooks to help victims of domestic violence.

Thank you from all of us at SprotsTakes!
  • 2016 Calendar

“Domestic From the beginning, we wanted to do a fun project that showcased our writers and also gave back to a cause we believe in. Our 2016 Zubaz Calendar benefiting Rose Brooks Center is now available for sale, and we will be spending the month of October raising money for Rose Brooks as well. We also have a weekly podcast, daily articles and three times a week a morning show featured on RabbleTV! The ladies featured as our models, writers and affiliates all believe strongly in breaking the cycle of domestic violence with some are domestic violence survivors themselves.
